"To create new and unique specialty chemicals and technologies" is San-Apro's constant motto ever since it was founded in 1966 under the name of San-Abbott as a 50:50 joint- venture between Sanyo Chemical Industries (Japan) and Abbott Laboratories (USA).

In 1986, following the acquisition of Abbott's industrial amines business division by Air Products and Chemicals (U.S.A), our corporate name was changed from San-Abbott to the present San-Apro reflecting a new partnership formed between Sanyo and Air Products.

San-Apro is now supplying a variety of unique specialty chemicals to many fields, domestic and overseas, such as super base compounds for various organic syntheses, catalysts for polyurethane, accelerators for epoxy resins, photo-acid generators, rust inhibitors, and others.

San-Apro is determined to continue its effort to create new specialty products through intensified R&D and marketing activities.
